What Is The Best Way To Announce Your Baby’s Birth?
Speaking from experience, it is never a good idea to leave people off your list when sending out a birth announcement photo, whether via email or through snail mail. I was unmercifully raked over the coals by my husbands mom when I forgot to put her on the mailing list, and she only got an email. So I decided that for everyone who is expecting a baby, you prepare in advance for the request for baby photo announcements following these 439 simple steps:
1. Make a list, checking it twice (read: get your husband to do this, men love to organize stuff)
2. Find out who prefers emails, and who prefers snail mail. Make a few calls and emails to figure this out
3. Start a blog/facebook page, and post your pictures here, so that no one can ever say they didn’t get the email or the memo or whatever.
4. Make sure you put your baby’s full birth name on the announcement, prominently, or else you’ll get people asking you ‘now what was his name again’?
Well, that’s the whole list. I know I said 439, but that was to get you to understand that this is an important event for many people, and you can make it fun for them, and fun for you, if you just put in enough time to do it right.
